Nothing screams“bad boy who looks like trouble”quite like growing your hair out, blow-drying it to within an inch of its life, and finishing the look with cherry-red lipstick.

And somehow… it worked.

That’s the energy we’re bringing to next week’s watch party, because the new creative challenge is:

What This Is

This week’s challenge is all about confidence, spectacle, and committing fully to the bit.

80’s glam rock wasn’t subtle. It wasn’t ironic. And it definitely wasn’t apologetic.

This was music made by people who decided that if they were going to show up, they were going to really show up. But, yeah, even those who loved it back then can laugh now.

Michael Starr from Steel Panther often talks about glam as being completely uninhibited — and that’http://subtle.Its exactly the mindset here. No holding back. No second-guessing. Just lean into the idea and have fun with it. Here's Steel Panther's take on 1987.

Need a Starting Point?

You don’t have to research, but if you want some inspiration, think bands like:

Mötley Crüe – Loud riffs and pure attitude
Poison – Catchy hooks, bright colours, bold visuals
Bon Jovi – Big anthems built for big rooms
Def Leppard – Polished sound and massive choruses

Catchy, confident, and unapologetically dramatic.

How Serious Is This?

Not very.And that’s kind of the point.

During the watch party, I’ll be showing:

A real photo of Poison
An AI-generated fake 80’s glam band

You can:

Be historically accurate
Make something completely fictional
Or just go full glam and see where it lands

If it makes you smile, you’re doing it right.
